Pretty Deadly #2

Pretty Deadly is a visually striking Image Comics series that blends Western mythology with dark fantasy, following a cast of characters caught up in cycles of death and vengeance. This second volume, subtitled 'The Bear,' shifts the story's setting forward in time to the era of World War I, continuing the mythological saga with writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist Emma Rios. DeConnick and Rios's collaboration remains one of the more distinctive and poetic works in the Image catalog, with Rios's intricate, painterly artwork complementing the series' lyrical, fable-like storytelling.
