“I Love a Parade, Usually!”

In "I Love a Parade, Usually!", Archie and Jughead dive into trouble—literally—when their scuba-salvaging scheme goes awry during a Mr. Lodge-sponsored parade. With golf balls lost in the chaos and a parade crowd on their heels, they flee underwater, only to be rescued by Betty, who suggests a peaceful picnic on a secluded island. As Jughead heads off to collect firewood, the real adventure is just beginning. Art by Bob Bolling brings the aquatic antics to life, while Dan DeCarlo’s dynamic cover captures the chaos in full color.

Archie and Jughead go scuba diving to salvage golf balls for later resale. Riding Jughead's motor scooter into town, they accidentally drop the balls in the midst of a parade sponsored by Mr. Lodge. When the paraders chase them, they escape by using scuba gear. Betty rescues them and suggests a quiet evening picnic on an isolated island. Archie and Betty send Jughead out to gather firewood.
