“The Train Robbery, Part 6”

That vivid yellow cover — a barefoot kid in swim trunks scrambling away from a wide-eyed, cartoonish green beetle while a starfish looks on — captures the playful, anything-goes spirit of 1936 comics perfectly. Cover artist Whitney Ellsworth delivers a wonderfully charming scene, with red stars flying and the boy's expression of pure comic alarm selling every bit of the gag. Inside, the anthology promises mystery, thrills, and adventure, including the latest chapter of "The Train Robbery" — all original, all new, and just a dime.
