At Camelot the call to hounds is heard. Guinevere meets Geraint and they ride to hounds, but encounter an unknown knight and his dwarf servant. Asking his master's name, Geraint receives a blow from a riding whip. Riding after them bent on revenge Geraint rides into a fortress where he learns that the knight is a great champion known as The Sparrow Hawk. Geraint enters the tourney lists aiming to joust with this knight.
