This August 1961 DC gem features Adam Strange in "Menace of the Aqua-Ray Weapon!" — and the cover by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson makes the threat immediately, viscerally clear: a blue-skinned alien villain trains a ray weapon on Strange, who stands drenched and dissolving above a cityscape as his thought bubble despairs, "That fantastic weapon — changing me into a puddle of water!"
