The first story features a primitive man who discovers a mysterious long-armed creature and learns to fashion it into a tool by placing a stone in its loop, discovering its remarkable strength and throwing distance. The second story, titled "The Subject," involves a man named Gerard who is summoned to a mysterious gathering where a woman named Martha and others attempt to convince him he is a fake or imposter, while a sinister masked figure watches from the shadows. A third story depicts a boy who encounters a green-skinned alien being that has crash-landed near his home; the alien desperately needs water and fuel (radiator fluid) to repair its spacecraft before departing Earth.
In a prehistoric tribe where strength and combat define worth, young Oggo stands apart—more drawn to tinkering than hunting or fighting. While his father dismisses his inventions as useless, Oggo’s curiosity leads him to discover the sling and, later, the wheel, each a leap forward in human ingenuity. Though his creations are met with awe, tragedy strikes before his ideas can change the world.
Jo and Lewis reach the summit of Mount Everest, only to discover strange tracks they initially dismiss as bear marks—until the mountain itself begins to shift. A sudden snowslide reveals a hidden alien spacecraft buried within, and the beings inside, from the planet Critos, warn the climbers to leave before their ship departs. With only three days to retreat, the men are left staring at the mountain’s transformed peak, now empty of its legendary form.
In a surreal twist, skeptic Mr. Gerard is reluctantly drawn into an experiment by the enigmatic Valjar, who claims to send people back in time through a mysterious device. After laughing at the idea, Gerard finds himself seemingly transported to the era of King Arthur, where he experiences a vivid, knightly adventure—only to return with a strange, unexplained wound on his arm, leaving him stunned and questioning everything.
In the ancient ruins of Persia, archaeologist Daniel Rashid feels an uncanny pull toward a hidden passage in King Darius’ palace, as if he’s returning home. Though he’s never been there before, he recognizes every detail—until he discovers a statue that bears his own face, hinting at a forgotten ancestral connection to the site’s lost guardians.
When a frustrated father tries to focus on his work, his young son Tommy accidentally summons a small, water-dependent alien who arrives in a ship that looks like a glass globe with Martian canals. As the boy and the alien form an unexpected connection, the father’s attempts to ignore them are disrupted by strange noises and a mysterious fire—leaving the fate of the little green visitor uncertain.
