Creepy Worlds #45
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains two distinct science fiction and horror tales. The first story depicts the crew of a spacecraft captained by Mr. Smith encountering an alien lifeform—a formless, intelligent being—that threatens humanity and argues for the crew's return to their home planet, ultimately leading to a desolate and tragic outcome on an alien world. The second story, "Witch's Way," is set in the year 1482 in Meckleburg, where frightened townspeople accuse a woman of witchcraft after a series of misfortunes including failed milk production and cursed crops, leading to the decision to burn her at the stake despite protests from those who doubt her guilt.
In "The Living Statues!", a lone astronaut returns from a faster-than-light journey to find Earth eerily frozen—every person and thing suspended in near-perfect stillness, as if time itself has paused around him. The silence of a world unmoving, where even the wind seems to hold its breath, leaves him alone with his thoughts and the growing unease of being the only one who still moves.
