Master of Kung Fu #71
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIssue #71 of Master of Kung Fu delivers one of the series' most visually striking covers, with Mike Zeck's pencils and inks placing a bare-chested, red-headband-wearing Shang-Chi in a fierce fighting stance against a massive yin-yang symbol rendered entirely in puzzle-piece fragments — a bold visual metaphor that practically crackles with tension. The shattered, jigsaw-like imagery surrounding him suggests a world coming apart even as he holds his ground with total focus and controlled power. Doug Moench and Zeck were firing on all cylinders in 1978, and this December issue, titled "Nightimes," is a fine example of the creative energy this series brought to Marvel's martial arts line.
