Master of Kung Fu #70
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom the cover by Pat Broderick, Shang-Chi leaps mid-air in his red fighting outfit, one hand thrust forward in a classic kung fu strike while explosions and weapon emplacements erupt all around him — the cover blurb warns that "Death awaits Chi and Black Jack Tarr in the Murder Mansion!" A figure visible in the background suggests the danger is closing in from every direction, with massive armored machinery looming on the right adding to the sense of a deadly gauntlet. Issue #70 is a fine example of Marvel's November 1978 martial arts action at full throttle, with Doug Moench scripting and Broderick's kinetic linework making every panel feel like a fight waiting to happen.
