Blackjack O'Hare takes a cargo ship, that isn't answering his hails, aboard his ship. Rocket comes out, fighting his way through security forces to get to Princess Lynx, who is being held captive. She is upset that he ruined her rescue plans. They fight, are eventually captured, then saved by Groot. They escape. Instead of handing Lynx over for bounty, like Rocket planned, he lets her go. Instead, he plans to pawn Blackjack's crown.
