Buford Hollis
Buford Hollis is Razorback, an Arkansas trucker whose mutant gift lets him instinctively operate any vehicle ever built. A colorful, good-natured CB-radio enthusiast, he crosses paths with heroes like Spider-Man while hauling across the Marvel Universe in his big rig.
Buford Hollis made his Marvel debut in the pages of The Spectacular Spider-Man #13 back in 1977, stepping onto the Bronze Age stage courtesy of the creative team of Bill Mantlo, Sal Buscema, and Mike Esposito. Over a remarkable span stretching from that late-'70s introduction all the way to 2023, he's kept some genuinely eclectic company — sharing adventures with Spider-Man, Peter Parker, the Scarlet Witch, and Razorback, and turning up across titles as varied as She-Hulk, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Groot. With a key issue among his appearances and a presence that has quietly persisted across nearly five decades of Marvel history, Buford Hollis is exactly the kind of deep-catalog discovery that rewards the curious collector willing to dig past the marquee names.
