Razorback
Razorback is a truck driver and self-styled superhero from Arkansas who sports a boar-themed costume complete with a massive razor-edged fin on his helmet. He possesses an extraordinary, unexplained natural ability to operate any vehicle or vessel instinctively.
Razorback roared onto the Bronze Age Marvel scene in 1977's The Spectacular Spider-Man #13, courtesy of the creative trio of Bill Mantlo, Sal Buscema, and Mike Esposito β a debut that planted this distinctive character firmly in the wilder, more colorful corners of the Marvel Universe. Over a remarkable publishing span stretching all the way to 2023, Razorback has kept genuinely eclectic company, sharing pages with Spider-Man, the Scarlet Witch, and even turning up in Groot, which speaks to a wonderfully unpredictable range. With appearances across She-Hulk and The Spectacular Spider-Man among others, this is a character who has quietly threaded through Marvel history for nearly five decades β and that one key-issue distinction in the catalog makes the original 1977 debut well worth hunting down for any serious Bronze Age collector.
