In "Panther's Quest Part VIII: Hatred under Tears," T'Challa intervenes when a truck terrorizes a black township, narrowly saving a young boy, Theodore Olebogeng, from being run over. As he disables the vehicle, the soldier behind the wheel, Eugene van der Merwe, opens fire—leaving T'Challa wounded and the situation more volatile than ever.
