Even though Morbius has freed himself from Bloodthirst's control, he cannot yet reveal that fact to his fellow Midnight Sons, who continue to attack him as they believe he is a traitor. Eventually Morbius escapes, and then turns on the Lilin when they attack a small child. Morbius ends up fighting Martine who has been possessed by the Lilin Parasite, but can't find the resolve to kill her.
