Tom Mandrake's cover for this October 2000 issue makes an immediate impression: a cloaked, brooding figure dominates the background while J'onn J'onzz — in his monstrous, feral Martian form with red eyes and gnashing teeth — reaches forward amid swirling green-gold energy, with a shadowy creature fleeing in the upper corner. Titled "Revelations Four: Moral Choices," this chapter from the John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake creative team promises the kind of ethically charged storytelling this series does so well. Spinning out of the pages of JLA, it's a compelling chapter in one of DC's most underrated solo runs of the era.
