Manhunter leaps into action on Jae Lee's kinetic cover for this November 2004 issue, her red-and-silver suit blazing with energy as she vaults over a startled man against a backdrop of Chinatown storefronts. The tagline "Taking It to the Streets!" sets an appropriately street-level tone for this second chapter, with writer Marc Andreyko and artist Jesús Saiz (inked by Jimmy Palmiotti) steering DC's newest Manhunter through a story titled "Parenthood." Lee's moody, angular linework gives the whole thing a sharp noir edge that suits this series' grounded, confident attitude perfectly.
