Lucifer #2
This volume continues the 2013 Lucifer series, collecting issues from Mike Carey's acclaimed run on the character. It follows Lucifer Morningstar's ongoing schemes and conflicts in a post-retirement era, weaving together threads of divine politics and personal ambition within the DC Vertigo universe.
In "Triptych 1: The Seeds of Time," a young centaur named Esa-Kira bears a vision of Lucifer’s future and journeys through one of his gateways to Los Angeles, leaving behind a painted warning of an impending battle with the Basanos. Six decades later, she returns to find her people enslaved and her message ignored—only to discover that Lucifer has already moved on, leaving her fate—and her warning—unanswered. Written by Mike Carey and illustrated by Dean Ormston, with colors by Daniel Vozzo and letters by Comicraft, this haunting entry in the Lucifer series features a striking cover by Christopher Moeller.
