About this Collection

This third trade paperback of the 2014 Lucifer series collects issues #14–20, continuing the saga of the Lightbringer as he navigates a complex web of celestial politics and personal vendettas. Written by Holly Black with art by Lee Garbett and others, the story deepens Lucifer's quest for independence from divine machinations while introducing new allies and enemies in the realms of Heaven, Hell, and Earth.

In "Inferno, Part 1 of 3," Lucifer finds himself ambushed in Effrul by assassins loyal to Lord Arux, whose alliance with Amenadiel and Remiel sets a deadly trap. As Mazikeen pursues Susano-O-No–Mikoto—carrying two feathers that hold Lucifer’s power—she’s drawn into a labyrinthine clockwork castle ruled by Scoria the Artificer, who claims to be her long-lost husband. Written by Mike Carey and illustrated by Peter Gross, with inks by Ryan Kelly, colors by Daniel Vozzo, and letters by Comicraft, this issue features a cover by Christopher Moeller.
