In "null," Richie's friend Tex takes him on a cross-country drive to visit Tex's massive Texas ranch, only for the truth to slowly unfold: the entire journey was spent on the Rich estate, making them neighbors all along. Written by an unknown author and illustrated by an unknown artist, the story plays on misdirection with a twist that turns a long trip into a quiet, humorous revelation.

In "It's a Gift," Richie sets out to buy a $5 watch for Gloria, only to discover it's actually worth $500—far more than his quarter in his pocket. After a bump to the head wipes his memory, he starts trading small items, unknowingly turning each into bigger gains. When he finally regains his memory, he’s ready to make the gift he always intended.
