Little Dot #159

Little Dot is front and center on this 1975 Harvey Comics cover, gleefully wielding a yellow Vaniray Gun that's already making a telephone dissolve in a burst of colorful sparks — her speech bubble cheerfully announcing the invention works, much to the alarm of two adults (one in a lab coat, one in a suit) reacting in wide-eyed surprise behind her. The tagline warning that "the secret spy ring knows it, Dot!" adds a playful air of danger to the polka-dotted mischief. It's a wonderfully energetic snapshot of the kind of kid-sized science-gone-sideways adventure that made Harvey's "Lots of Dots — Lots of Fun" series such a delight throughout the decade.
