In "null," young Richie tries to win a prize at a charity ball by dressing as a street urchin—only to be turned away at the door when he can’t pay the entrance fee, his ragged look making his claim of having left his wallet behind utterly unconvincing. A twist of fate eventually lets him in, though how he gets past the gate remains a mystery.
