Behind them lurks a hulking creature clutching a golden staff, and a framed tooth displayed like a trophy leaves no doubt whose spotlight this is: the cover tagline announces "Tenzil Kem Takes a Bite Out of Crime!" Keith Giffen (pencils) and Al Gordon (inks) give this installment of the Tom and Mary Bierbaum–written series a wonderfully offbeat, almost noir-comedy energy that sets it apart from the typical super-team fare.
