Justice League Europe #27
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this June 1991 issue says it all with one bold word: "FACE-OFF!" Two groups of characters surge toward each other from opposite sides, with the JLE's roster — including the Elongated Man, Flash, a figure in white and gold, and a red-armored hero — squaring off against a menacing crowd wearing matching horned purple helmets, while a small winged figure darts through the chaos above. Bart Sears, handling both pencils and inks here, packs the composition with kinetic energy and a wonderfully crowded sense of confrontation. Written by Giffen and Jones, "The Vagabond King" looks like exactly the kind of big, messy, ensemble showdown that made Justice League Europe such a fun corner of the DC universe in the early '90s.
