Justice League Europe #28

Titled "The Man Who Wears the Star," this 1991 installment of Justice League Europe puts the Martian Manhunter front and center in a striking cover by Bart Sears — the green-skinned powerhouse rears back with fists raised, his blue cape billowing behind him as he stands over fallen teammates surrounded by a sea of strange, eye-covered alien creatures. Scattered around him are glimpses of other JLE members — a white-costumed figure, a caped hero in red, and what appear to be golden wings — suggesting the whole team is overwhelmed and in serious trouble. With story by Giffen and Jones and the tagline "Lost in the Stars!", this issue promises the kind of cosmic chaos that made the JLI era so much fun.
