Jughead's Double Digest #167
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe Archie Drama Club's theatrical ambitions take center stage in Jughead Double Digest #167, presenting Act III of IV of "Cyrano Jones" — a four-part comedic riff on the classic romantic tale. The cover, penciled by Fernando Ruiz and inked by Bob Smith, captures a wonderfully awkward moment: a Jughead-as-Cyrano figure, sporting a dramatically elongated nose and colorful period costume, locked in a swooning kiss with a golden-haired leading lady. With interior story and lettering by the legendary Samm Schwartz and writing by Dick Malmgren, this digest delivers a generous helping of Riverdale humor wrapped in theatrical flair.

Jughead tells his parents he doesn't want to go to college and join the "establishment." He wants to be a musician like his friend Sonny Cher, who dropped out of high school to pursue his music. So Archie sends him to meet Sonny, who now has a family to support and has to work as a parking lot attendant because of his lack of education.
