Jughead, bundled in green and shivering at a snow-covered school bus stop, grumbles "Why doesn't it snow in the summer when we need it?" — a perfectly Jughead-ish complaint while Archie and a cheerful blonde companion seem far less bothered by the blizzard around them. A snowman watches from the background and a sled zips across the sky above, making this Dan DeCarlo and Rudy Lapick cover a wonderfully cozy slice of Riverdale winter. With interior work from the talented team of writer George Gladir and artist Samm Schwartz, this 1972 issue is a charming addition to any Archie collection.
