About this Collection

This second volume of the Complete Case Files collects Judge Dredd stories from 2000 AD progs 61 through 115, covering a pivotal era in the series' development. It includes the epic 'The Cursed Earth' saga, the introduction of the insane Chief Judge Cal, and early appearances by supporting characters like Walter the Wobot and Max Normal, as Dredd navigates the increasingly dangerous and satirical world of Mega-City One.

In "The Cursed Earth, Part 1: Forbidden Fruit," Judge Dredd and his reluctant partner Rotten stumble upon the isolated town of Deliverance, where a mob is poised to carry out a brutal punishment. As Dredd moves to intervene, Rotten vanishes, leaving him at the mercy of the townspeople—only for a swarm of mutated flying rats to descend upon the town, turning the situation into something far more dangerous than mob justice. Written by Pat Mills and illustrated by Mike McMahon, with a striking cover by Garry Leach, this 2006 installment of Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files delivers a tense, atmospheric start to a classic arc.
