That cover by Brian Bolland says everything you need to know about Jack's particular brand of ambition — there he is, blond hair askew, plopping an ornate golden crown onto his own head with a sideways glance that mixes scheming confidence with just a hint of doubt. Kicking off "The Bad Prince Part One," this August 2007 Vertigo issue from writers Bill Willingham and Matthew Sturges, with interior art by Tony Akins and Andrew Pepoy, promises the kind of self-aggrandizing misadventure that only Jack could stumble into. If the tagline "the world actually DOES revolve around..." didn't tip you off, that crooked crown certainly will.
