Jack of Fables #10

From Vertigo's self-assured spin-off of Fables comes issue #10, wrapping up the "Jack of Hearts" arc with a cover by James Jean that's hard to look away from. Jack himself tumbles helplessly through a cascade of glittering coins — arms flailing, tuxedo open, wide-eyed with alarm — while a second pale, startled face peers up from the pile below him, the whole scene blazing against a vivid red background framed by slot-machine symbols. Bill Willingham and Matthew Sturges are joined by artists Tony Akins and Andrew Pepoy for what promises to be a wild conclusion to this four-part story.
