Hellraiser Nightbreed - Jihad #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the first issues of the 1991 Marvel miniseries that merges Clive Barker's Hellraiser and Nightbreed mythologies. The story follows the Jihad, a conflict between the monstrous Nightbreed and the hellish Cenobites, with key figures like Pinhead, Aaron Boone, and Lori Winston caught in the supernatural war. It collects the early chapters of this crossover event, setting the stage for the battle between two of Barker's most iconic horror creations.
In "As Above...", the Cenobites unleash a brutal campaign against the Night Breed, with Alastor and his Aesch Mezareph faction leading the assault under Leviathan’s command—much to Pinhead’s dismay. When Cabal’s group falls into a deadly trap set by a mysterious puzzle box, they’re ambushed by Alastor’s forces, culminating in a shocking and violent end for Cabal. Written by D. G. Chichester and illustrated by Paul Johnson—with full art and inks by Johnson and lettering by Bill Oakley—this 1991 Marvel issue delivers a chilling escalation in the war between the two dark factions, all framed by Johnson’s haunting cover.
