Hellboy: Seed of Destruction #4
In "Seed of Destruction [Chapter Four]," Hellboy fights to break free from a frog creature's paralyzing grip as Liz’s energy is siphoned by Rasputin to awaken the ancient Sadu-Hem. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Abe, guided by the lingering spirit of Elihu Cavendish, makes a desperate move against Rasputin, while an alien race watches in stunned silence from afar. Written by Mike Mignola and John Byrne, with art by Mignola and inks by both Mignola and Arthur Adams, this pivotal chapter blends supernatural dread with escalating stakes, all rendered in Mignola’s signature moody palette and Chiarello’s evocative colors.

Liz's energy is drained by Rasputin to channel through Sadu-Hem and free the Ogdru-Jahad as Hellboy battles the frog creature's numbing hold. An untold distance away, the assault on the Seven Beasts' tombs is being incredulously monitored by an alien race. While Abe, spurred on by the spirit of Elihu Cavendish, mortally wounds Rasputin and Liz's power proves too much for him to contain, it falls to Hellboy to face the wizard in final battle.
