Hellboy #[1]

Egmont Polska brought Mike Mignola's red-skinned paranormal investigator to Polish readers in 2001 with this striking edition of Hellboy: Nasienie Zniszczenia. The cover, penciled and inked by Mignola himself, places Hellboy front and center — trench-coated, cross in hand, and radiating grim resolve — while shadowy, monstrous figures loom in the darkness behind him: a winged dragon to his left and a writhing tentacled creature to his right. It's a beautifully moody composition that captures everything compelling about this character — a creature of darkness standing firmly against it.
