Green Lantern #204
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe Green Lantern Corps faces a villain called the Man in the Iron Lung — and the cover by Joe Staton and Rick Magyar makes the threat feel genuinely unsettling, with an iron lung device centered at the bottom of a long corridor flanked by a mosaic of brawling, struggling figures that suggests the Corps is being pushed to its limits on multiple fronts. The bold tagline "Faces Its Deadliest Enemy" feels earned when the whole composition radiates a sense of chaos closing in from every direction. Steve Englehart, Staton, and Mark Farmer were firing on all cylinders during this 1986 run, and issue #204 looks like a fine example of why this era of the Corps has so many devoted fans.
