Green Lantern #202

The second issue of the newly retitled Green Lantern Corps era wastes no time raising the stakes, with cover art by Joe Staton and Bruce Patterson depicting a Green Lantern in his black-and-green uniform scrambling across a shattered brick landscape as a massive, close-up fist looms at the right and a taunting villain declares, "Nothing can stop Truk!" A runaway vehicle crashes through the debris above while a pink-skinned figure lies fallen nearby, selling the sense of an all-out brawl. The teaser "Who are the Lords of the Ultra Realm?" promises that writer Steve Englehart has plenty more surprises waiting inside this July 1986 issue.
