“Learning to Fly”

In "Learning to Fly," young Mikey G. discovers he can soar through the sky after turning a magic blanket into a cape, launching his superhero career as G-Man. His brother Dave G. isn’t far behind, fashioning a belt from the scraps and becoming Great Man, and together with their fellow kid heroes, they face down the intimidating Kid Thunder. When Kid Thunder’s dad, Captain Thunderman, arrives to mediate, a surprise visit from the villain Mister Mental tests the team’s courage—and proves that even the youngest heroes can make a difference. The story is written and illustrated by Chris Giarrusso, with full art and lettering by the creator, and the cover is also by Giarrusso.
