In the dusty streets of 1820s Los Angeles, the arrival of the Viceroy sends shockwaves through the pueblo, especially when Captain Monastario orders the arrest of Don Diego—publicly accused of being the elusive Zorro. With the Viceroy’s daughter in attendance and a grand feast planned, Monastario schemes to unmask the masked hero and save his own standing, but the Viceroy has a far different plan in mind.

In a dusty stretch of frontier California, Diego and Bernardo encounter a determined young boy who’s journeyed from Santa Barbara seeking Zorro’s help to stand up for the people. Moved by the boy’s courage, Zorro recognizes the need for more than just a sword—he tells the boy that true justice begins with learning, and sends him to Padre Onora’s mission school to prepare.
