In "Garcia's Secret," Zorro's latest prank ignites a chain of events when he slips into the cuartel under cover of night to raise his iconic flag. The Capitan's fury turns to humiliation when Garcia, trying to remove it, slips from the greased pole and crashes into the Commandante, sparking laughter from the vaqueros—only to be punished with a grueling repair job. Ordered to finish the stable roof by sunset, Garcia is then "fired" and sent to track down Zorro, unaware of the trap he's walking into. But Zorro has a clever twist in store for both the Commandante and the man he's using as a spy.

In "The King's Emissary," Don Diego finds himself arrested and brought before the authorities, accused of being the elusive Zorro. With the Viceroy’s sudden visit looming, Captain Monastario scrambles to impress him by emptying the jails and staging a grand feast—only to be stunned when the Viceroy turns the tables, exposing Monastario’s corruption and placing Sergeant Garcia in charge of the pueblo.
