Zorro Black & White Noir #1
"A Thing of the Past" kicks off Zorro Black & White Noir #1 with a stark, stylish twist on the legend: Don Diego stands arrested, accused of being Zorro, as Los Angeles braces for the Viceroy’s sudden arrival. With Monastario scrambling to impress the visiting noble and his daughter by unmasking the masked vigilante, the real surprise comes when the Viceroy flips the script—turning on Monastario and Pina, and handing control of the pueblo to Sergeant Garcia. Alex Toth’s legendary black-and-white art brings a timeless, noir edge to the tale, while Michael Kaluta’s striking cover captures the tension with a masterful, shadow-drenched portrait.
