“Ear Braces”

From Dell's 1952 run of Walt Disney titles comes this delightful issue featuring Mickey Mouse and Goofy's Mechanical Wizard. Dick Moores's cover captures the trio perfectly: a skeptical Mickey perched on a stool, an enthusiastic Goofy gesturing proudly with one finger raised, and a cheerful little robot the two are apparently showing off together. The bright green background and warm character expressions make this a wonderfully inviting snapshot of classic Disney comics fun at a dime a copy.
