“Adventure on Artico”

In "Adventure on Artico," Flash races to stop King Zero of the icy planet Artico from freezing the planet Mongo with a relentless climate ray, only to be captured and forced to harvest seaweed beneath the frozen seas. His companion Dale, who stowed away on his ship, is spared the labor but imprisoned in the King’s castle—where her presence stirs an unexpected fascination. Penciled and inked by Paul Norris in a striking, early sci-fi style, this 1949 Four Color adventure delivers a classic pulp-inspired clash of heroism and alien tyranny.
