“Fly or Die”

"Fly or Die" kicks off in Tarzan of the Apes #158 (1966), a pivotal issue where Jack Clayton—unaware his father was raised by apes—embraces the jungle, bonds with Akut, and learns the Great Ape language. Written by Edgar Rice Burroughs and Gaylord Du Bois, with dynamic art by Russ Manning and inks by the same, the story follows Jack as he rescues a young girl who grows into a woman, forging a bond that will test their courage across the wild. Cover by George Wilson captures the tension of the moment, as Tarzan’s long-lost son, Korak, risks everything to reunite with the one he loves.
