Without knowing that his father was brought up by apes, Jack Clayton falls in love with the jungle and makes his way there along with Akut, learning the Great Ape language and living as his father had. He rescues a small girl... she joins him in his jungle life, and in time grows lovely. When they are separated Lord Greystoke rescues her; he and Jane take her into their home. She and Korak dare great dangers to find each other. When they are threatened by a wild elephant Tarzan rescues them, learning at last that her mysterious Korak is his own long-sought son.
