Paul Norris's cover for this 1978 Marvel offering captures the comedic crisis perfectly: a wide-eyed, horrified Dynomutt recoils upon learning he's a "washed-up super-hero," while his partner the Blue Falcon looks on and a bespectacled fellow tumbles awkwardly nearby. The bold yellow background and a film-strip border showcasing other Hanna-Barbera favorites give the whole package a lively, Saturday-morning energy that's hard to resist. With Mark Evanier scripting the self-deprecating adventure, fans of the animated series and Marvel's licensed humor comics of the era will find this a thoroughly entertaining read.
