Blabber
Blabber is a fast-talking little mouse who partners with Snooper the cat as one half of the cartoon detective duo Snooper and Blabber, solving cases with more enthusiasm than finesse. The characters originated in Hanna-Barbera animation and crossed over into comics beginning in 1960.
Few characters capture the breezy charm of Silver Age funny-animal comics quite like Blabber, who bounded onto the scene in 1960's Quick Draw McGraw #2, brought to life by artist Harvey Eisenberg. Over nearly two decades β right through 1979 β Blabber kept lively company with some of the era's most beloved cartoon icons, sharing pages with Quick Draw McGraw, Yogi Bear, Snooper, Augie Doggie, and Doggie Daddy across titles including Laff-A-Lympics and Yogi Bear. With 24 catalog appearances and a key issue to their name, Blabber is a delightful slice of that golden window when Marvel was publishing Hanna-Barbera's irresistible stable of characters for young readers everywhere. For collectors with a soft spot for the fun-loving, sun-drenched side of the Silver Age, Blabber is a charming find worth tracking down.
