DragonLance Comic Book #31

DC's long-running DragonLance series reaches the midpoint of its three-part "Sword of the Kinslayer" arc with this June 1991 installment, written by Adam Blaustein with art by Ron Randall and Randy Elliott. Mike Kaluta's cover — both penciled and inked by his hand — frames a densely layered composition of clashing figures, crossed blades, and a red-winged dragon looming above, with a fiery-haired woman and a horned warrior prominent among the combatants caught in the melee. It's a richly detailed piece that captures the high-fantasy tension of Krynn beautifully.
