Doom Patrol #74
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's Vertigo imprint brought some of the most distinctive storytelling of 1994, and this issue of Doom Patrol is a fine example of that spirit. Bob Fingerman's cover art presents a striking confrontation: a hulking figure in a leather jacket and an insectoid bronze helmet looms over a snarling punk with a pink mohawk whose shirt reads "Bootleg Steele," while a row of identical gold-armored robot soldiers lines the bottom of the frame — a quietly unsettling image full of menace and dark wit. With Rachel Pollack writing and Linda Medley and Tom Sutton handling interior art, this "Bootleg Steele" chapter promises the offbeat, thoughtful storytelling that made this run a standout for mature-readers comics.
