“Some Enchantress Evening”

Part of Marvel's 1989 "Acts of Vengeance" crossover, this issue pits the Sorcerer Supreme against a very different kind of threat. The cover by Butch Guice says it all — a triumphant, green-clad Enchantress stands atop a guillotine scaffold, casually wielding a fearsome weapon while Dr. Strange's head rests in the basket below, his body slumped helplessly in the stocks beside her. It's a darkly playful image that makes "Doc Loses His Head Over the Enchantress" feel less like a tagline and more like a genuine warning.
