Detective Comics #28
Part two of the "Gothtopia" arc lands with a cover that pulls no punches: Batman lunges forward in a fierce, determined grimace while a cat-masked woman in a red-and-black costume leaps dramatically above him against a sweeping Gotham City skyline. Jason Fabok's cover art delivers a kinetic sense of urgency that fits right at home in the New 52 aesthetic. With John Layman writing and Aaron Lopresti on interior art, this April 2014 chapter of Detective Comics looks like exactly the kind of propulsive middle chapter that makes you eager to see how the story unfolds.
