Mr. Zsasz
Victor Zsasz is a Gotham City serial killer who marks his own skin with a tally for each victim he claims. A nihilistic psychopath with no superpowers, he relies on knives and sheer ruthlessness, making him one of Batman's most disturbing and grounded adversaries.
A chilling presence in Gotham's rogues gallery, Mr. Zsasz made his entrance in 1999's Batman: Shadow of the Bat #81, brought to life by Alan Grant and Mark Buckingham during comics' Modern Age. Over roughly fifteen years, this DC villain carved out a dark corner of the Batman mythos, turning up most frequently in the pages of Detective Comics and Batman: Shadow of the Bat β two of the definitive Bat-titles β sharing those shadowy streets with Bruce Wayne, the Joker, and even the gloriously absurd Ambush Bug. A compact but memorable catalog of appearances makes each one count for collectors drawn to Gotham's darker corners.
