“Ride of the Valkyrie”

In "Ride of the Valkyrie," the Defenders team up with the legendary Brunnhilde and the might of Zeus to confront the forces of Pluto and Lorelei in a mythic clash. With the original Valkyrie and her Valkyrior vanishing back to Asgard, the Samantha Parrington incarnation takes her place among the team, marking a pivotal shift in the group’s legacy. Written by Kurt Busiek and Erik Larsen, with dynamic art by Ron Frenz and bold cover work by Erik Larsen and Klaus Janson, this 2001 Marvel issue blends cosmic power and Norse myth with a definitive moment for the Defenders.
